Patterns Project

I couldn't remember what the task say but the thing i'm sure to remember is the project was basing of patterns.
I decided to choose a Japanese artstyle made by ink because i'm personally wanting to experiment more with ink draw and turns it into patterns.

(This is one of three piece i draw but the one i'm showing right now is my personal favorites)


How did i made repeat patterns?
At first, i pick what i wanting to draw base by three things i draw using ink. After that i create a similar style, then fold it half and another half again to make sure i'll cut them in correct 4 squares. Connecting those pieces back into A4 paper again.





This is what's it look like after completed putting the pieces together, print it out a few pages and stick it together to create a repeat patterns.






I want to do more experiments so i tried to print it on colour paper and it turns out to be amazing as well. The way of original blue ink made those print affected on each colour papers.

How light affect and Crash, Torn and Twisted project

After the first protect was completed, we would have to start learning the easy basic such as shading and how light can affect the project.

This is one of example of my drawing that i take a picture of. To show the different of shading  style (If you are looking carefully in the image, all the drawing have different styles from eachother and showing the lightness from dark.

This is a little mind-map i have done for Crash, Torn and Twisted project. We would have to make a status base by Crash, Torn and Twisted made by cardboard.

The first images ( Right top-side) showing of the girl crying because the future she was imaging is now destroy.

Below, it's the sun and moon. How cold and warm the heart can be, just like day when it's bright, cheerful and warm but the night is dark, lonely and cold.

The left hand-side are the logo that i wanted for Crash, Torn and Twisted. I'm also very interest in the social media so i draw an phone while the screen show Facebook page.

This is a graphdraw to plan out how i would like to do my Crash, Torn and Twisted project.

But before starting to make them, i needed a plan how i would build my phone with cardboard. I decided to do phone base off Facebook because it's a simple design.

It turn out to be really great but i couldn't show what the final version looks like because i deleted the image.

First Final Piece

This my very first final piece. Studying about artists and end of the assessments, I have to choice what artist i want to do about. I chooses  Georgia O'Keefe for final piece because of her art style, zoomed into flowers, colour expresses, mixtures of colour, shape and blending.

However, Georgia O'Keefe works isn't just about flower. It showing many different meanings. One of my personal opinion is, flower showing the meaning of life and death. For example; Rose. Once it's used to be beautiful and cheerful but once time pass by, it slowly to start dying, the beauty slowly dying as well, just like human's life.

Another reason why i chooses Georgia O'Keefe works, is because i'm personally enjoying nature and patterns, Georgia O'Keefe's work was perfectly fit in.
